Owners of the National Football League have decided to change to rules for overtime tie-breaker in the playoff games. Is it going to be longer or otherwise?
With a 28-4 recorded votes, the NFL owners concluded that whichever team receives an overtime kickoff and be able to kick a field goal as they posses it first will not win the game anymore. The decision did not talk about the time at all. With these changes, the team to score a touchdown will still win.
Should one team kicks an opening FG, the opposite team may possess the football to try to hit a score thru either a touchdown or a FG kick. In the event that both teams kick a FG, the sudden-death format will still be applied and the winner will the team to score in any sort.
NFL owners are now looking into applying the same changes to the regular seasons.
