Pop star turned activist is rallying her 8.8 million Twitter fans to donate whatever they can afford to help the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan on Friday. In her effort to help the calamity victims, Lady Gaga personally designed a special white wristband with red lettering that reads “We Pray For Japan.”

In just three days of release, the Lady Gaga Wristband has already raised more than a quarter of a million to help the Asian nation bounce back from the 9.0-magnitude quake and devastating tsunami that has death tolls rising into the tens of thousands.

Gaga’s white-and-red wristband features her signature claw, as well as the phrase “We Pray for Japan,” written in both English and Japanese. The wristband costs just $5, but consumers are invited to “choose their price” and are encouraged to donate whatever they can afford, with proceeds going directly to efforts to help the victims of the natural disaster.

In her Twitter page Lady Gaga posted, “Monsters (fans): in just 48 hrs you’ve raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief. It’s important we help. X (sic).” If you’re interested to help the calamity victims in Japan, you can purchase/donate here on this page.
